Chef Paul Flynn hits the road in search of trucks serving great seafood. In Wicklow, he pays a visit to the Salty Buoy food truck to try a smashed fish burger and an oozing hake kiev. Later Paul makes monkfish and chorizo brochettes and creates his ultimate seafood roll. He’ll be serving them up from his own food truck at at Fota Wildlife Park in Cork.

Other food trucks will be highlighted again this week too. Viewers will see the tasty delights coming from Fred and Nancy’s in Killiney, Co. Dublin and from Julia’s Lobster Truck in Co. Clare.

Chef Paul Flynn explores Ireland’s thriving street food scene and creates his own food truck favourites.

Across Ireland a street food revolution has taken place. While the hospitality trade faced  pandemic lockdowns, one area of the industry enjoyed a boom, as the nation turned to a growing band of food trucks.

From his restaurant in Dungarvan, Chef Paul Flynn has watched in admiration as enterprising chefs embraced the challenge of delivering fantastic fare to outdoor diners.

Now, he’s decided to join them to discover the secret of their success. Paul is  escaping the kitchen to enjoy the freedom of the open road and try amazing street food. He’ll also be creating some great tasting dishes to  serve up from his very own food truck.
