Episode 12 – Oak tree flowers
Oak trees produce dangling golden catkins in April, each adorned with flowers containing the pollen for a new generation. Female flowers turn in to little buds in summer, develop into acorns in autumn, each with the potential to become a mighty Oak tree. This week, Nature File takes a long term view on the life of an Oak.
