Episode 2
The next phase of the course sees the recruits pushed to their absolute physical limits with back-to-back events including a 12 metre high bridge jump followed by scratch, one of the toughest, most punishing events on the Hell Week course. It is brutal and more recruits are eliminated as injury and fatigue start to take their toll. Ultimate Hell Week is living up its title.
Series Synopsis – The biggest, baddest, maddest series yet… RTE’s Ultimate Hell Week is back with a new batch of recruits as 28 civvies take on the Hell Week challenge. To date three groups of civilians have attempted to pass the worlds most grueling reality TV show. With a failure rate upwards of 90%, only the toughest candidates will survive. Over seven days, the recruits will be required to pass numerous rigorous physical and mental tests. Surviving on two to three hours of sleep a night they will have to overcome cold-water events, height tests and claustrophobic challenges as well as various trials of strength, stamina and determination. The recruits, some of Irelands fittest civilians, all have one thing in common, each of them believes they have what it takes to pass the course. Each and every waking moment the recruits will face unrelenting pressure from the DS. Failure to meet the required standards means they will be asked to leave the course. For those who decide they cannot go on they simply have to D.O. (drop out) by handing in their number to the DS. This is the mother of all challenges; it is raw, real and relentless; with no certainty that anyone will make it to the end. Will any of the recruits have what it takes to pass selection. Welcome to Hell. Special Forces – Ultimate Hell Week is produced by Motive Television for RTÉ.
