On this Organ donor awareness week, Anne Cassin presents the stories of people who have benefited from Organ donation. We see how a successful operation can save someone’s life and we meet the families of those who lost a loved one whose organs were donated so that others could live.
WEDNESDAY 27TH APRIL
The Irish Landmark Trust is an all-Island charitable organisation that was set up in 1992 to conserve and maintain unusual historic buildings. Anne Cassin presents tonight as we see the work of this organisation having visited buildings that they have completely conserved and refurbished in locations all over the country. Nationwide visit the magnificent Wicklow Head Lighthouse which was the first restoration project undertaken by the Irish Landmark Trust when it was established 30 years ago. The Irish Landmark Trust have conserved quite a diverse range of historic properties over the last three decades and we visit some of these buildings including a Georgian mews in Dublin city centre, a miniature Castle in Co. Cork.
