As the dawn breaks on the last Saturday in February, join Evonne for a selection of choral music from Dublin-born composer Rhona Clarke’s recent release – Sempiternam featuring the Latvian State Choir conducted by Maris Sirmais. The Saturday Symphony encourages total immersion in Mahler with the Third Movement from his Second Symphony, based on the song about Saint Anthony preaching to the fishes. In Our Daily Bach, we return to another early cantata with the joyful BWV 196 ‘Der Herr denket an uns’.
