MONDAY 17TH JANUARY
On this evening’s programme Anne Cassin presents stories from people who have come to this country and who are integrating into Irish society, such as students from a Waterford school where the ethos of support and integration has brought the school a ‘Best in Class’ merit award for this work.  Plus, the women who are doing their bit to bring support to Mothers of young children who are in direct provision centres.

WEDNESDAY 19TH JANUARY
This evening Bláthnaid Ní Chofaigh presents as Nationwide talks to people who live a slightly alternative lifestyle including a family in rural Tipperary with a diverse range of interests and a man who is at home on the canal in Dublin. Dr. Peter Sheekey is a true-blue Dub who lives on his barge on the Royal Canal.  He has travelled widely and has empathy with people who find themselves with little in a new country. Valerie Waters met up with Peter and with some of his friends who attend the language school, of which Peter is director.

FRIDAY 21ST JANUARY
Tonight on Nationwide we meet people involved in small food businesses.  In Wexford, Helen McInerney reports on bottling the taste of nettles which is just one of the flavours in the Wild About range. In Louth, Niall Martin meets the farmer selling flavoured milk products to passing motorists and in Dublin we meet Mama Shee who is bringing the flavours of Africa to shop near you.

MAMA SHEE/REPORT NIALL MARTIN
When you look around the supermarket shelves there are lots of Chinese, Indian, Thai or Mexican choices but you’ll find it impossible to find African ready meals.  One African Irish woman has decided she’s the one to remedy that.  Reporter Niall Martin met ‘Mama Shee’, who has launched her African food business in Dublin and is looking to expand Nationwide.
