This once-off Christmas Special is a follow up to the tremendously popular The Heart of Saturday Night series which aired on RTE television to great acclaim, earlier this year in 2021. This show will enable music to work its magic by presenting entertainment at its most enticing.

The show will include performances and conversations with a number of Ireland’s finest artists including: Mary Black, Nathan Carter, Aoife Ní Bhriain and her father the master uileann piper Mick O’Brien. The Heart of Saturday Night at Christmas will introduce audiences to great new Irish voices: Shiv and Ryan McMullen. The Crash Ensemble will be along for the ride, and the whole thing will be presented by Loah and Una Healy with performances from both.

Una Healy and Loah visit the Fleetwood Mac songbook singing a magnificent version of ‘Dreams’, Mary Black sings Joni Mitchell’s ‘Urge For Going’ and Una Healy joins Nathan Carter to perform ‘In Case You Didn’t Know’.
