Tonight’s Christmas episode is presented by Bláthnaid Ní Chofaigh who spent the day at Dublin Zoo, one of Ireland’s most popular visitor attractions. Located at Phoenix Park, Dublin Zoo attracts over one million visitors each year. Blathnaid witnesses the Wild Lights Show, a spectacular Christmas event and night-time experience for all the family. Nationwide also visits the elephants and some of the other incredible animals living there. Staff share their love and dedication for the magnificent creatures under their care. Among the guests in the programme are the Zoo director who tells of the visitor experience and some of the zoo-keepers looking after the animals over the festive period.
