Darren’s killers escape. Christian tells Emer a further bomb is expected. In Antwerp, billionaire Richard Melnick shows the site for his new European headquarters to his son James, Bibi’s husband. The CAB team link Darren to Fionn Brannigan, son of a businessman who died by suicide, owing millions to the government. It turns out Bibi is Fionn’s sister. She tells Christian she left Ireland mainly because of her brother’s dodgy dealings. Alarmed by his link to the Antwerp apartment, Fionn hides a hard drive in a restaurant bathroom ceiling. Christian searches for Kamal and Hadi, friends of Sana; he finds Hadi, just as Sana’s killers prepare to take him. It emerges Darren’s last call was to Fionn.

With Darren Reid dead and the discovery that another bombing is imminent, Emer and Christian’s attention is drawn to a well-known Irish businessman with a very chequered past.
About Hidden Assets:
A routine raid led by Emer Berry, a detective in the Irish Criminal Assets Bureau, reveals that a small-time drug dealer has been receiving substantial funding from a seemingly untraceable source – not in cash, but in rough diamonds. When these diamonds are linked to a series of bombings in Belgium, Emer is forced to work with Police Commissioner Christian De Jong. The taut thriller is directed by Emmy-nominated Thaddeus O’Sullivan (Into The Storm, Silent Witness) and leading Belgian director Kadir Balci (Cold Courage). Written by Peter McKenna (Kin, The Musketeers) and Morna Regan who was recently named on the BBC New Talent Hotlist, Hidden Assets is produced by Siobhán Bourke and Kathryn Lennon (Whistleblower, Acceptable Risk) and Anna-Sue Greenberg (Acceptable Risk) and co-produced by Peter De Maegd (Cold Courage) and Tom Hameeuw. Hidden Assets which was filmed in Antwerp and Co.
