Born on this day – three very different, but all extraordinary musicians. In 1928, composer Einojouhani Routavaara was born in Helsinki. We’ll dip into some of his vast and varied output of orchestral, choral and chamber works. And two pianists, Bebo Valdes and Abdullah Ibrahim, both embracing their national heritage of Cuba and South Africa. A whistle stop trip round the globe with a map of great tunes to guide us.
