The candidly outspoken former Minister revisits her childhood in Athlone, growing up on the grounds of a Textile Factory managed by her beloved father Patrick. Mary takes in her teen years living at the famed Hudson Bay Hotel on the banks of The Shannon purchased by her family in the 1950’s and where she met the love of her life Enda who she devastatingly lost in 2001.
Mary returns to the Dublin apartment which was her weekday home during her often-controversial years on the front bench, remembering what it was like to be Ireland’s only female Minister during the turbulent Haughey and Ahern governments.
