Puccini’s Madame Butterfly
Tonight’s opera comes from the Theatre antique, Orange for a production of Puccini’s much loved Madame Butterfly. Ermonela Jaho sings Cio-Cio San, Marie-Nicole Lemieux is Suzuki, Valentine Lemercier is Kate Pinkerton, Bryan Hymel is Pinkerton, Marc Narrard is Sharpless, Carlo Bosi is Goro, Wojtek Smilek is The Bonze, Christophe Gay sings Prince Yamadori, Pierre Doyen is the Imperial Commissioner and Mikko Franck conducts the Radio France Philharmonic Orchestra and the Avignon, Nice and Toulon Opera Choruses.
