Led by director Peter Whelan and joined by soprano Aisling Kenny they perform Bach’s Cantata 82a, ‘Ich habe genug’ contrasted by Bach’s Cantata BWV 51, ‘Jauchzet Gott in allen Landen’, a joyous affirmation of life with its celebratory Alleluias for solo trumpet and voice. The Cantatas are complimented by Handel’s Trio Sonata HWV 399. Liz Nolan presents a showcase of unabridged musical masterworks, featuring live recordings of Irish and international performers, plus selections from the latest CD releases.
