MONDAY 19TH JULY
On this evening’s programme, presented by Blathnaid Ní Chofaigh, we meet the children who have a very big following on Social media for their gardening tips.  Plus, we meet a woman with a love of animals who devotes her time to looking after all creatures great and small especially the shy and prickly Hedgehog.
HEDGEHOG HOSPITAL – Our first story is all about a little creature that can be seen in our gardens on rare occasions.  The bristly hedgehog is a gentle shy mammal and recently Bláthnaid met a woman in County Clare who has been bringing sick Hedgehogs back to health at her special Hogsprickle.
TWITTER GARDENING – This story is of two boys in Stamullen, Co. Meath whose Dad has highlighted their interest in gardening by posting videos of the boys giving gardening advice on Twitter.  Today, they have a huge following on social media all thanks to their dad Ciaran who has nurtured the boy’s fascination with plants.  Valerie Waters has been to meet them.

WEDNESDAY 21ST JULY
This evening Nationwide, presented by Anne Cassin, are taking to the water with boat trips along some of our waterways.
BLACKWATER TRIP – We begin on the River Blackwater in County Waterford, where a local community group, “Blackwater Eco tours”, have come together to provide facilities to encourage tourists to come and enjoy the waterway.  Anne Cassin met Alan Boardman who told her all about the group and how it came about.
LOUGH REE BOAT – Lough Ree is one of the best Fishing spots in Ireland and as the second largest lake on the river Shannon it is a haven for boats and water activities. Recently, a group of like-minded people came together to raise funds for an Access for All boat. This vessel will provide an adapted, integrated, water-based experience for people with disabilities and mobility issues, for the very first time on Lough Ree.  We went along to find out more.
KILKENNY RIVER TRIP – Our next destination is County Kilkenny where on a cold spring morning Anne took to the water to see the Marble city as she’d never seen it before.

FRIDAY 23RD JULY
Anne Cassin presents tonight’s Nationwide.

JACK WOOLLEY – Every young sports person dreams of winning big and taking away a medal from major events and our next story is of a young Tallaght man who wants to get to the top in the sport of Taekwondo. Reporter Zainab Boladale met up with Jack Woolley in West Dublin.
TRANSFORMING TRISHA – Cork based executive Chef Trisha Lewis better known as Trisha’s Transformation on Instagram, has released a new book called Trisha’s 21 Day Reset.  It was number 1 in the best-selling non-fiction listings for four weeks and is a realistic no-nonsense approach to losing those Covid pounds with delicious and practical recipes. Trisha now has over 200,000 followers on Instagram where she shares her daily struggle with weight loss, and she lost over 8 stone on her journey and has motivated and helped her many followers.  Mary Fanning went to meet her shortly after the publication of her first book, Transforming Trisha.
