Series 2, Episode 6

In the final episode of this series, we meet Angie, a mother of two and civil servant from Sandyford, South county Dublin.  She bought her current home on a whim 19 years ago but with retirement on the horizon, now fancies somewhere further from the city.  Her maximum budget is five hundred thousand euro and for that she’d like something close to the sea but not too far from a town and amenities.  A keen traveller, she spends extended periods abroad and wouldn’t be against renting her new property out, when she’s away.

Her neighbour and close friend Maeve, long term friend Una and brother in law George have all been tasked with finding her an ideal property.  All three choose properties in County Wexford.

George opts for a 1970’s house in need of renovation, but with plenty of potential for letting, in the town of Gorey.  Una and Maeve both head to the nearby coastal town of Gorey but while their choice of location is similar, their ideas about the perfect home for Angie are slightly different.  Una’s opted for a two-bedroom bungalow in need of work, whereas Maeve’s found a ready to move into, three-bedroom bungalow just a stone’s throw from the beach.

Angie joins her three helpers to view the properties they have found for her in a gogglebox style viewing.  It’s also the first time the helpers have seen the competition, so it’s enlightening for everyone.  But which of the three will win Angie’s heart?
