At this time fifty years ago, a march was organised from Naas to the GPO in Dublin city centre to protest at the closure of Scoil Dhún Chaoin. There was also further protests outside the Department of Education on Earlsfort Terrace. The end result ws that the school was reopened the following year, and that the basic right to education was upheld for the Gaeltacht community. Today on the programme Dáithí de Mórdha will look back at the march, the campaign, and the principals that drove it.
