Beidh eagrán speisialta den chlár le cloisteáil againn inniu faoi Luíochán Lios Póil, a tharla beagnach céad bliain ó shin cothrom an ama seo, ar 22 Márta 1921.  Bhí sé ar cheann de na luíocháin ba mhó a bhí beartaithe i gCorca Dhuibhne le linn Chogadh na Saoirse, agus ghlac formhór na n-Óglach idir an Daingean is Trá Lí, tuairim is cheithre fichid duine acu, páirt ann.  Inniu ar an gclár beidh staraithe áitiúla, an t-údar Noel Ó Murchú, agus roinnt daoine muinteartha leo siúd a bhí páirteach sa luíochán, i mbun comhrá le Helen Ní Shé faoi.

The Lispole Ambush took place at this time one hundred years ago, on 22 March 1921.  It was one of the biggest ambushes ever planned on the Dingle peninsula during the War of Independence, with most of the fighting men between Dingle and Tralee, some 80 Volunteers, taking part.  Today, we’ll hear a special edition of An Saol ó Dheas about the ambush, with contributions from local historians, author Noel Ó Murchú, and relatives of some of the people who took part.  Helen Ní Shé presents.
