Interviews with members of some of northwest Donegal’s famous marching bands, as their St Patrick Day traditions are interrupted for the second year running.

This will be the second year in a row that marching bands in Gaoth Dobhair and Na Rossa in northwest Donegal will not be out on St Patrick’s Day – an important and valued tradition in those areas that goes back many years.  Members of some of the bands will be in with Michelle Nic Grianna today to talk about stories and memories of previous St Patrick’s Days, the public can vote on who was the best band to come out of the area, and there’ll be music from the bands from previous years from the RnaG archives.
