Narrow Sea is a new work by Pulitzer-winning composer Caroline Shaw, her settings of a 19th century collection of shape-note hymns. Tonight we’ll explore the world premiere recording of her music composed for the So Percussion ensemble, soprano Dawn Upshaw and pianist Gilbert Kalish. We’ll also hear Mozart piano concerti arranged by the 19th century composer Ignaz Lachner, for piano, bass and strings.
