*NEW EPISODES OF HOME SCHOOL HUB*
RTÉ’s Home School Hub and After School Hub airs on RTÉ2 and RTÉ Player, delivering three hours of television daily, offering a helping hand to parents. Young viewers can find John, Ray, Cliona, Emer, and all the gang on RTÉ2 between 10am and noon, with their fun and interactive curriculum-based learning, which was warmly received when it first aired last March. At 3.20pm daily After School Hub has daily activities, ranging from music lessons to science experiments, dance classes, art and crafts, and books and culture. All corresponding worksheets, podcasts and third-party content will be housed on https://www.rte.ie/learn/ and can be watched back on the RTÉ Player.
We’re delighted to announce that RTÉ will broadcast a brand new Irish Sign Language version of Home school Hub on RTÉjr (new location on Sky EPG of 617) on weekdays, at the new time of 10am Monday 1st February. This will be followed at 11am by an ISL version of earlier HSH episodes. The ISL programme, After School Hub Best Bits, airs on Saturday and Sundays at 6.05pm on RTÉjr from 16 January. All ISL versions of Home School Hub are also available on RTÉ Player.

MONDAY: We’ve some brand new lessons for you today on Home School Hub. In Múinteoir Ray’s Music Class, we are learning all about Blues music and we’ll be writing our own lockdown blues song and singing along! Múinteoir John is teaching us how to use the Apostrophe in today’s English class and we are learning about St. Brigit and how to make a “Brídeog” in Muinteoir Clíona’s Art class. Phil of Science is here experimenting with a paper boat in today’s HubLab and we’ll be getting our heart rates up in today’s PE class with Múinteoir Emer.
TUESDAY Múinteoir Ray is teaching us how to create a factfile and we’ll be learning all about the life & work of the Mancherter United footballer Marcus Rasford in today’s SPHE class. We’ll be learning all about area in Múinteoir John’s Maths class and we’ll be mixing history, art agus Gaelige together today with Muinteoir Clíona as we learn all about the Famine Ships. Múinteoir Emer will be giving us some key Hydration tips in today’s Exercise with Emer and we are making Rockets in the lab with Phil of Science.
WEDNESDAY We go back in time to Ancient Greece first this morning with Múinteoir Ray as we learn all about the Olympic Games in today’s history class. Múinteoir John throws up back to the 90’s as we make some initial art in today’s Art class agus beidh Múinteoir Clíona ag caint faoin aimsir i rang Gaeilge an lae inniu. It’s all about a Balanced Diet as we get moving in today’s Exercise with Emer and we are back in the Hub Lab experimenting with Ice with Phil of Science!
THURDAY In today’s Art class, Múinteoir Ray will be teaching us all about the influential American artist Jean-Michel Basquiat in today’s Art class. Múinteoir John will be showing us all around the house in today’s Gaeilge class and we’ll be using our hand to relax and practise gratitude in today’s SPHE class with Múinteoir Clíona. Múinteoir Emer tells us how important it is to get as much Physical Activity in each day as we get moving in today’s Exercise with Emer and we are back in the Hub Lab with Phil of Science learning about Submarines!
FRIDAY Múinteoir Ray will be teaching us one of the more fun areas of Maths – Shapes Múinteoir John will be introducing us to Jamaica and the work of Bob Marley in today’s Music class and we’ll be signing too! And Múinteoir Clíona will be showing us some creative ways to use language into’s Art Class. Exercise with Emer is back for our final workout of the week and Phil of Science has another experiment up his sleeve in today’s HubLab!
