MONDAY 14TH DECEMBER
On this evening’s programme from Waterford city, Nationwide focuses on charities and organisations who, all across the country are working tirelessly to make our communities better. This is a sector which has been hit pretty hard during the pandemic, and needs our support more than ever. Nationwide sees the work of the Lions Club in Waterford and around the country and hears all about the Jack and Jill Foundation and the amazing work they do.
WEDNESDAY 16TH DECEMBER
On this evening’s show, Nationwide has festive stories including the Cork Christmas tradition that began in 1897 and the beautiful red plant Poinsettias, which are synonymous with this time of year.
FRIDAY 18TH DECEMBER
On Nationwide tonight, the Army band explain how they’ve recorded an online version of their carol service so that their Christmas tradition continues this year. Marian Malone is in Strokestown, Co. Roscommon to learn about a 70year old rusted tractor that’s raising funds for Ireland’s Childhood Cancer Foundation.
