With the help of a unique Time Surfer App (TESSA) on her phone, Emily is able to time jump through Irish history to pursue the missing items and return them to their correct place and time.

Each episode features Emily’s search for a different historical item which has gone missing from a particular period in Irish history. Whether it is St Patrick’s crozier or a composing stick for the printing of the 1916 Proclamation or Annie Moore’s Steamship ticket or Tom Crean’s compass – it is Emily’s job, with TESSA’s guidance, to save the day.

And as Emily zips back and forth along the timeline of our history, show comes in contact with an array of engaging characters who play their part in helping her complete her task.

EPISODE 1 – 16:00 Monday

Grace O’Malley was a marauding pirate and swashbuckling Irish Queen who took on the might of Queen Elizabeth I. With the possibility of peace breaking out, Grace travels to Buckingham Palace seeking a pardon but a missing crown means her life is in danger.

TESSA turns to Emily to bring back the crown and as she attempts to do so, Emily gives a helping hand to a great classical composer, she backs up a Munster legend and pays a secret visit to another rebellious Irish heroine.

The episode also features the GAA’s Michael Cusack, Munsters King Rory O Connor, a Roman invasion that never happens and a Druidic makeover.

EPISODE 2 – 16:00 Tuesday

The Book of Kells is considered one of our most important and valuable historical artefacts but when the monkns who are illustrating the Book lose their special quills, it is Emily that TESSA turns to.

As she goes in search of the quills, Emily attends a Stone Age bar-b-q, escapes a Norman torture cell and a shoots the breeze with a couple of Bronze Age best friends.

The episode also features Countess Markievicz and her Mammy, an historical Dragons Den, the early days of the Valentia Telegraph and an interview with a Druid.

EPISODE 3 – 16:00 Wednesday

Rosie Hackett is the person charged with printing the Proclamation of Independence for Padraig Pearse to read out on Easter Monday 1916 in front of the GPO. But an essential composing stick has gone missing which means TESSA has to send Emily Blast to find it.

As Emily time jumps through Irish History in pursuit of the composing stick – she finds herself getting involved in a bronze age trade deal, surviving a Viking raid and coming face to face with an Irish Warrior queen. The episode also features appearances by King Henry VIII, Wolfe Tone, Lord Hugh O’Neill as well as Padraig and his Mammy.

EPISODE 4 – 16:00 Thursday

St Patrick was the man who rid Ireland of snakes but that was not as straightforward as it sounds. When his Crozier goes missing, TESSA calls on Emily Blast to find it, retrieve it and help St Patrick complete his abolition of the remaining snakes.

Emilys search for the Crozier brings her back in time to meet with Biddy Early, finds her treading the boards with WB Yeats & JM Synge and sees her sharing a meal with Finn McCool.

The episode also features appearances by Daniel O’Connell and his Mammy, a Viking neighbour, some mathematical Celts and a Brehon Judge.

EPISODE 5 – 15:30 Friday

A young Irish woman by the name of Annie Moore was the very first of 12 million immigrants to be processed at Ellis Island in New York. Annie was due to sail from Cork but when her steamship ticket goes missing, Emily is the time traveller that TESSA puts on the job.

As Emily criss-crosses Irish history, she turns up at Brian Boru’s tent in Clontarf in 1014, meets a young James Joyce and witnesses the genius of trail blazing engineer & aviator, Lilian Bland.

The episode also features appearances by Strongbow and his Mammy, Michael Collins, some Stone Age Salespeople and St Brendan.

EPISODE 616:00 Friday

Tom Crean is one of our great modern explorers but on one of his Antarctic treks, he finds himself in trouble on the Ross Ice Shelf, desperate to help save his injured friend but lost because he doesn’t have his compass.

TESSA sends Emily to retrieve the compass and save the day and as she travells through time – she surprises a Celtic artist, offers a helping hand to William of Orange and provides some literary inspiration to Bram Stoker.

The episode also visits an early Irish dentist, explains how you can become a druid, promotes a cruise-offering to down under and sees the brighter side of Oliver Cromwell.
