The Late Late Toy Show is the most eagerly anticipated television year, and for this one-off summer special, viewers can get a taste of the magic from years past, from opening performances to show-stopping talent from around Ireland. Tune in to RTÉ One on Sunday July 19th at 06.30pm, as host Ryan Tubridy takes you through some of the most memorable songs from down through the years, with lyrics appearing across the screen so that the audience at home can all join in.
Memorable performances from children featured on The Late Late Toy Show include The Cup Song from 2013, which went on to become a viral sensation, with 16.5 million hits on YouTube. Other performances featured include Hit The Diff, the ABBA Megamix, Symphony, Old Town Road and When I Grow Up.
Plus, Ryan, whose opening numbers have ranged from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (2010) to Mary Poppins (2013), Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (2014), The Jungle Book (2016), The Greatest Showman (2018) and Frozen 2 (2019), will finally reveal his favourite opening sequence of all time. In between numbers, Ryan will also give viewers an exclusive look at some of his past toy show outfits.
