In our Sunday concert we visit the Belle Époque as we hear music by women composers active during that time. Recorded as part of the Female Composer Series in the NCH in Dublin, violinist Gillian Williams, pianist Úna Hunt and flautist Miriam Kaczor perform works by Mélanie Bonis (1858-1937) and Cécile Chaminade (1857-1944). We’ll also hear Mozart’s Symphony No. 39 in E flat, K. 543 performed by the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, conducted by Ivan Fisher.
