NATIONWIDE WEEK 27

MONDAY 29TH JUNE

Food is the focus of tonight’s Nationwide as Anne Cassin revisits Newbridge House and Farm in North County Dublin and some Irish food producers that were featured on the programme over the past few years and see what’s changed and how the businesses are fairing out in recent times.

WEDNESDAY 1ST JULY

Nationwide visited the DSPCA at the foothills of the Dublin mountains during lockdown when they were closed, but animals were still being cared for behind the scenes.  The Dublin Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is a state of the art facility which includes Pet boarding, day care, a Vet clinic and a rescue and re-homing centre. Tonight Nationwide looks back on the history of the DSPCA which was established in 1840 and is the oldest and largest animal charity in the country.  In Part 2 of the programme we revisit the facility as it started to re-open to see how the staff and animals are all getting on.

FRIDAY 3RD JULY

This evening on Nationwide we meet two people who have a love of animals and whose use of online platforms has brought their creativity to the attention of online audiences.
