TRIP TO TIPP LOOK BACK
The youth of Ireland descended on Thurles between 1990 and 1994 for those unforgettable Féiles, known as the legendary ‘Trip to Tipp’. Anne Cassin recalls Ireland’s first camping music festival, which for a certain generation became almost like a rite of passage. Almost 30 years after that first Féile, Trip to Tipp was resurrected in 2018 and sold out in minutes. The festival in 2018 featured some of the best band’s of the 90’s including The Stunning, Something Happens and Emotional Fish. We see how the 2018 event went and we look back on the history of Féile at Semple Stadium Thurles.
