In 2019 he brought his show Taking Off to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and subsequently performed as part of the Pick of the Fringe programme in London club 2Northdown.

Kevin first took up painting when he was 11 years old and his love of cartoons prompted him to join a painting class with a group of retired women in his local community centre in Gowna, Co. Cavan.

Like most adults he let his childhood hobby die until the lockdown inspired him to get his brushes out again. He describes interviewing people while painting their portrait as relaxing and almost meditative. Kevin much prefers painting men over women because with men, he can take advantage of their wrinkles and craggily faces whereas women don’t particularly appreciate their fine lines being highlighted! His ultimate painting subject would be Clint Eastwood.
