Tonight we hear the recent album from Irish tenor Robin Tritschler of complete Brahms songs, the latest in a series by Hyperion Records, which seeks to record the entire lieder repertoire with leading international soloists. Tonight we’ll hear excerpts including a selection from the German folksongs. We’ll also hear the music of Thomas Ades performed by pianist Han Chen, solo works which include a concert paraphrase of his opera, Powder Her Face.
