Series 18, Episode 9 – My Carbon Footprint – presented by Dr Clare Kambamettu

Everyone, in their own way, every single day contributes to emissions of gases that damage the planet, shockingly each Irish person is responsible for as much carbon emissions as 88 Ethiopians. While research shows that those of us who think we care the most about the environment often have the biggest carbon footprint.

In this episode, Dr Clare Kambamettu wants to know where we’re going wrong, she’ll debunk some of the myths surrounding our personal carbon emissions and look at the most practical steps we can take to help lessen our impact on the environment.

On this journey, we discover that some actions are high effort and low reward but some actions are low efforts and huge savings in environmental impacts. We also learn that to get our carbon footprints down to where they need to go then we need system change to make that possible. But what does system change mean and where can we see that happening?
