St. John and Ann- Marie live with their children Kaya, Kealin and Zara in Moylough in East Galway.
This couple earn a decent income but short term debt and running a busy household is leaving them broke. They are constantly in their overdraft with no scope to save.
St. John and Ann-Marie want Eoin’s help to plan for their children’s college education and, in the short term, to take a family holiday.
If this family are ever to be in a position to save they need cashflow, both to save for the college fund and to create a buffer to prevent them borrowing in the future.
Eoin devises a plan that will allow them clear their debt while saving. The plan hinges on securing a loan to consolidate their debts. If they succeed in getting the right deal, they will reduce their loan repayments and have more money in the here and now.
Will Ann-Marie and St. John secure the loan and be able to get a handle on their finances? Will they learn to become good with money and be able to provide for their children’s future, and maybe get that holiday…..
