Designed to break all but the toughest of individuals, this year’s course is even more demanding then the last. A new set of tasks, locations and challenges, it is the ultimate test of the recruits physical, emotional and psychological resilience. Just two recruits passed the course last year; do any of these new recruits have what it takes to impress the DS and make it through hell?

Series 2 – Episode 1

As the 28 recruits travel to the Hell Week base the vehicle is ambushed and they are dragged off the bus by three of the DS. Welcome to Hell. The recruits are dragged through rivers and mud by the DS to reach the base. Just before they get to the pistol range to get their armband and kit one of the recruits decided they have already had enough.

In the pistol range they meet chief instructor Ray Goggins who gives the recruits their number and outline what exactly is required to pass the Hell Week course. After changing in the dorm the students are brought for their first pass / fail event and one of the most intimidating tests on the course. The bridge jump. This year the DS have the added factor of jumping into the freezing reservoir at night. The terrifying event claims another recruit as one of the students refuses to jump.

However the event proves very difficult for a number of the recruits. Getting back to base well after midnight the recruits struggle to organize their kit. The longer it takes them to get ready for the morning the less sleep they will get.
