DAVIS NOW LECTURES 2019: Making Home

The DAVIS NOW LECTURES are a re-shaping of the long running RTÉ Thomas Davis Lectures in which academics, creatives and thinkers presented ideas on a subject through a series of new radio lectures, under the direction of a guest series consultant editor.

MAKING HOME was the subject of the 2019 DAVIS NOW LECTURES led by series consultant editor, UCD architectural historian Dr Ellen Rowley. They were delivered and recorded with a live audience at locations with their own significance for the theme of the series. The locations included a 19th century workhouse in Callan Co Kilkenny, Moyross Communuity and Enterprise Centre in Limerick, and a former Glebe house in Donegal and former home of artist Derek Hill.
