How can our food systems and particularly livestock farming become more sustainable and resilient in the face of Climate Change?
Agriculture is the lifeblood of rural Ireland but it also makes up a disproportionate amount of greenhouse gas emissions, in this episode Dr Lara Dungan will meet with farmers and experts across Ireland to find out if beef and dairy have a future in a world of climate action.
She’ll meet with Dr Helen Sheridan and farmer John McHugh to find out if regenerative farming could offer a solution for farmers to produce beef and dairy in a sustainable way, while catching up with Dr Eamon Haughey, a lead author on a recent IPCC report on how our land use in general will have to change to meet the challenge of climate change.
