| This special programme is an interview with Angela Lansbury. The now 94 year-old star has appeared in over 60 films. As well as receiving an Honorary Oscar, she has also garnered five Tony Awards, six Golden Globes and an Olivier Award. In 2016 Aedín conducted a public interview with Angela Lansbury as part of The Dublin International Film Festival at The Bord Gais Energy Theatre. Angela Lansbury experienced the glory days of Hollywood in her early film roles in the likes of Gaslight and The Picture of Dorian Grey. As a Broadway leading lady she was hugely impressive in Mame and Sweeney Todd, moving on then to the hugely successful TV series Murder she wrote playing Jessica Fletcher. Not to mention much loved roles in the likes of Bedknobs and Broomsticks and Mrs Potts in Beauty and the Beast. |
