My Yellow Brick Road is a life-makeover series but with a difference – the advice comes from four ordinary people who have each successfully overcome their own issues. Between them, Claire, Greg, Jordan and Noel have battled Alopecia, Depression, Dyslexia and Drug Abuse and helped give others strength by talking openly about where they found the strength to do so. They never claim to be experts but, in the series, share their personal stories and what helped them deal with the challenges they faced along their own Yellow Brick Road.

Kellie Hempenstall is a single Mum from Newcastle, County Wicklow and she’s asked the gang to help ‘get her sparkle back.’ Busy juggling being a Mum to 9 year old Theo with her job as a Creche Assistant, she also has the commitment of being Carer for her Mum who lives next door and suffers from Multiple Sclerosis. Kellie has a supportive circle of great friends who’ve noticed she hasn’t been herself of late and want to help her live life to the full again. Too nervous to go for a date, Jordan sets to work on her dating app profile and takes her on a Tapas Trail around Dublin to help her get back in the swing of meeting new people. Greg works on her courage by taking her Zip Lining and Claire encourages her to think about what she would like the future to bring for her career and life with Theo. When Kellie mentions the idea of becoming a Special Needs Assistant, Claire knows someone who could pass on advice. But all this progress grinds to a halt when Kellie realises she needs to have an honest conversation with her Mum in order to move forward, something she is reluctant to do in case it hurts her feelings so Noel is on hand to share his own experience. Finally, to celebrate Kellie successfully regaining her sparkle and to show her how much she is loved and appreciated by others, Jordan organises a surprise Kelly Palooza gathering all her family and friends together.
