In episode three a day trip in memory of Conor’s dad leads the gang to an encounter with a local landowner that sparks pandemonium.  Some mysterious cash has also appeared, so Mairéad and an interfering Billy Murphy jump to conclusions.

‘The Young Offenders’ series two continues where series one left off telling the coming of age adventures of loveable rogues Conor and Jock and their mother/guardian Mairead as she tries to keep them on the straight and narrow (Alex Murphy, Chris Walley and Hilary Rose, reprising their roles), with friendship, loyalty, laughter and lots of mischief.  The best friends navigate their awkward teenage years, hatching plans and adventures to help distract from their tough home lives and their inability to stay out of trouble at school, with the new complications of sustaining relationships and an impending new arrival!

The comedy series, created by Peter Foott, expands on characters already seen in the smash hit series one, as we watch the lads encountering love, loss, peer pressure, and morality, with each episode set in Cork, Ireland.  ‘The Young Offenders’ is foremost a comedy and is packed with laughter, but it’s also tender with lots of heart.

The Young Offenders continues on Monday, 25th November at 10.00pm on RTÉ 2.
