Inniu, cloisfidh muid an tríú clár sa tsraith staire seo dírithe ar imeachtaí na bliana 1919, bliain chinniúnach i stair na hÉireann.   Ar 1 Aibreán an bhliain sin, cheap an chéad Dáil an Countess Markievicz ina hAire ar chúrsaí oibre.  Inniu, pléifidh an Dr Caitríona Clear agus an Dr Mary Clancy ó Ollscoil na hÉireann Gaillimh, cé chomh tógtha agus a bhí Gluaiseacht na Saoirse le ceist chearta na mban, agus cé chomh cinniúnach agus a bhí ról na mban sa ghluaiseacht chéanna.  Is é Dónall Ó Maolfabhail, thar cionn Scun Scan Productions, léiritheoir agus láithreoir na sraithe seo.

Today, in the third programme in this history series focused on 1919, a critical year in Irish history, the panelists will discuss women’s rights and the role of women in the Indepenence Movement.  Presenter Dónall Ó Maolfabhail will be joined by Dr Caitríona Clear and Dr Mary Clancy from NUI Galway, to discuss how important the question of women’s rights was within the Independence Movement, and the importance of the role of women within the same movement.   Presented and produced by Dónall Ó Maolfabhail, on behalf of Scun Scan Productions.
