National science week comes this 10-17 November to Ireland, and it is a celebration of knowledge, wonder, and scientific learning. Always interested in science and the scientific method, Vox Nostra presenter Vlad Smishkewych once again ties together science, history, culture and art through music and a special Sunday morning programme for National Science Week. Featuring a recently released album by I Fagiolini titled Leonardo: Shaping the Invisible, Vlad will bring science and maths into the musical landscape of Sunday morning. I Fagiolini’s Da Vinci voyage will be just one part of this Sunday morning: the birthday anniversaries of François Couperin and Girolamo Abos this week will provide us with lyrical pieces for solo keyboard, chamber ensemble, as well as large ensembles and choirs, from the French and the Maltese composer alike.
