They describe themselves as Jazz Punk; that should be enough to get your attention. Vernon Jane have been together for five years, but it was 2018 that they really began to make the kind noise that people couldn’t ignore anymore. The Last Mixtape described them perfectly; “The Type of music that grabs you by the throat.”
Their debut album is nearing completion, and may well turn out to be one of the debuts of 2020. Hear them in session on The Alternative – three incendiary tracks, and a chat with Dan.
Dan Hegarty – The Alternative: dEUS live at Ancienne Belgique – Thursday, October 24:
Aside from a four year break in the early 2000s, dEUS have been bringing us music on a consistent basis. It was in March of 1999 that they really made an impact with their third album ‘The Ideal Crash’.
As part of The Ideal Crash 20th anniversary tour, the influential Belgian band announced that they would celebrate the album’s anniversary with an extensive European tour.
