At 4.30pm, Evelyn Grant presents the Dublin Concert Band live from Studio 1 in front of an invited audience. Dublin Concert Band is Ireland’s premier amateur concert band. Bringing together an energetic mix of musical talent, youth, experience, enthusiasm and maturity, it is the winner of the Irish National Band Championships on more than 35 occasions. The band has also represented Ireland at international festivals in Denmark, Italy, Germany, France and the Netherlands. Today’s programme will include arrangements of The Boys of Wexford, Raglan Road and Lord of the Dance.
