The bass Josef Wagner sings the title role of the cursed sea captain doomed to sail the open ocean for eternity. Soprano Cornella Beskow is the devoted Senta, whose selfless love is what the Dutchman seeks, with bass Nikolay Didenko as her father, Daland, and tenor Zoltan Nyarl as her deserted former lover, Erik. Steven Sloane conducts the Malmo Opera Orchestra and Chorus.
