Director Biography – COLM NICELL
Colm Nicell is an award-winning Director of Photography with over twelve years experience in the film and television industry. He has worked in Ireland, the UK and The Middle East for broadcasters such as RTE, BBC, ITV, CNN and Al Jazeera. He has extensive experience working in the field of documentary having spent five years as a Director of Photography and subsequently Camera/Lighting Supervisor with the Al Jazeera Network in Doha, Qatar. In 2015 Colm was director of photography on the critical and commercial hot documentary, OLDER THAN IRELAND and 2018 see’s Colm making his directorial debut with Snackbox Film’s second feature documentary UNDER THE CLOCK, which was theatrically released in Ireland in September.
Producer Biography – GARRY WALSH
Garry is an award-wining producer/writer with over sixteen years experience in the film/theatrical industry. In 2015 Garry was the producer of the critically acclaimed ‘OLDER THAN IRELAND’ a feature documentary, funded by The Irish Film Board which won Best Documentary at the 2015 Galway Film Fleadh and was released theatrically in Ireland in 2015 and across North America in 2016 becoming one of the most successful Irish documentary of all time. As a writer, Garry has recently received funding by Screen Ireland for an animated short he wrote, entitled ‘ABE’S STORY’, funded under the Frameworks initiative and produced by his company, SNACKBOX FILMS. Garry is also working on two scripted features; BÁBÓG, a psychological horror set in Ireland in the late 70’s and LITTLE MISS CHRISTMAS, a holiday romantic comedy that will be co-produced with US based Argentum Entertainment.
