No wives, mothers, friends, family or exerts – just six Dads sharing their experiences. Comedian, Author & Broadcaster Colm O’Regan, became a Dad three years ago and he joins our fathers as they navigate their way through the first turbulent year or so of Fatherhood. The series features funny, sad and emotional stories from a stay at home Dad suffering from heart disease, a Dad of a baby girl with Down syndrome, a Dad who is inspired to become a midwife, a young Dad who’s family are made homeless, a Dad who suffers from Post Natal Depression and a Dad who adopted his first daughter in 1976. Audiences will hear confessions, revelations and admissions from these Dads as they open up, many for the first time, about what they were really thinking before during & after the birth of their first child. Compelling, touching, raw & emotional but with plenty of laughs and the odd bit of mansplaining along the way, this is Fatherhood like you’ve heard it before. Six Dads is funded by the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland with the television licence fee. |
