She visits their families and hears about their early sporting achievements, the challenges of playing at international level and how they remember the experience of World Cup 2018. They are Roisin Upton from Limerick; Deirdre Dukes from Dublin who now plays with a Dusseldorf club in Germany and Ali Meeke from Dublin.
Brenda also meets the team’s assistant coach Arlene Boyles. Arlene played in the World Cup the last time Ireland qualified back in 2002. She reflects on why this team is special.
