On this day in 1066, the Norman Conquest began with the Battle of Hastings, where William of Normandy and his troops of Norman, Breton, Flemish and French soldiers defeated and killed King Harold II of England, the last of the Saxon kings. This Sunday’s Vox Nostra gives us a chance to find out, as Vlad explores what was happening around the year 1066, in England as well as across Europe and the Mediterranean.
