Born into poverty in the Liberties, Grace began his career as a ballad singer with The Gingermen but quickly gravitated towards comedy and built an act that saw him headline throughout the world. With his beloved character Bottler and his celebrated routines which include Father of the Bride, Brendan has performed for royalty, celebrities – famously wowing Frank Sinatra – and countless fans throughout his 50 years on the road.

This documentary follows Brendan on the road throughout Ireland, spends time with him at home and travels with him to America as he visits family and friends. With exclusive access to the Grace family and Brendan’s rich archive, this is a complete and intimate portrait of a comedy legend.

Shot on location throughout Ireland, the UK and Boston and featuring interviews with a who’s who of the Irish entertainment business, this documentary is a revealing and often hilarious portrait of a performer beloved by everybody.
