Seo sraith cláracha faisnéise le polaiteoirí aitheanta nach bhfuil gníomhach sa pholaitíocht níos mó.  Inniu, cloisfimid an chéad cheann de dhá chlár leis an Urramach Trevor Sargent, Iar-Cheannaire ar an gComhaontas Glas.  Chaith Sargent cúpla bliain ina Chomhairleoir Contae i mBaile Átha Cliath, áit ar tharraing sé aird ar an gcaimiléireacht a bhí forleathan sa chóras pleanála.  Toghadh chun na Dála é i 1992, agus bhí sé ann go dtí 2011. Is deagánach anois é in Eaglais na hÉireann in oirdheisceart na tíre.  Sa chlár inniu, labhrann sé faoina shaol polaitiúil, agus mar a d’iarr Enda Kenny air idirghabháil a dhéanamh thar a cheann le Sinn Fein, le súil comhrialtas a chur le chéile i ndiaidh an Olltoghcháin i 2007.  An tseachtain seo chugainn, labharfaidh Trevor faoin saol sagartóireachta.   Is é Séamus Mac Donnchadha a chuirfidh an clár i láthair.

This is a new summer series, featuring interviews with well-known politicians who are no longer active in public life.  Today, in the first of two programmes, Séamus Mac Donnchadha interviews Trevor Sargent, formerly Leader of the Green Party, and now a deacon in the Church of Ireland.  Trevor spent some time as a Dublin City Councillor, where he brought attention to the corruption in the planning system.  He was elected to Dáil Éireann in 1992 and resigned his seat in the Council.  He was in the Dáil until 2011.  In the programme today he talks about his political life, including how Enda Kenny asked him to negotiate with Sinn Féin in an attempt to put together a coalition after the 2007   General Election.   In the programme next week, he talks about his new religious life.  Séamus Mac Donnchadha presents the show.
