Eurovision Song Contest Final 2018, RTÉ One, Saturday, May 12th at 8pm

The 2018 Eurovision Song Contest will come to you live from Lisbon’s Altice Arena and will be presented by Filomena Cautela, Sílvia Alberto, Daniela Ruah & Catarina Furtado.  This year marks Marty Whelan’s 20th year in the commentary box for RTÉ.

Six countries are already through to the final – the Big Five of Spain, the UK, France, Italy and Germany as well as hosts Portugal – but they will face stiff competition from the remaining countries who battled it out to make it through the semi-final stages.

The Eurovision Song Contest was established in 1956 and has taken place annually ever since. What started as an experiment, primarily followed by a radio audience, grew to become the world’s longest running and most popular music competition, attracting over 200 million people from Europe and around the world.
