For The Record we’re in the year 2000 this week for the debut album from The Walls. ‘Hi-Lo’ was the first album released by The Walls; a band that was formed by Joe & Steve Wall, who had spent most of the late 1980s and 1990s at the helm of The Stunning.
After the break-up of The Stunning, the brothers moved to London, to come up with something different. Following the release of Hi-Lo’, the band sent the album to U2, who were so taken by it that they added The Walls to the line-up of their second Slane Castle show in 2001.
The tracks ‘Bone Deep’, ‘Something’s Wrong’ and ‘Chestnut’ would go on to feature on the soundtrack to the 2001 movie ‘On the Edge’ starring Cillian Murphy.
