My Big Day: Home or Away

My Big Day: Home or Away – Peter and Kate

My Big Day: Home or Away is an exciting and entertaining original format where one couple is given the services of two top class wedding planners. One planner arranges a wedding at home, in Ireland, one plans a wedding away, somewhere fabulous and foreign.  After considering all the options and all the variables, the couple chooses the winning venue.  At the end of the programme we see all the family and friends of the couple witness them tying the knot at their dream location.  We follow Kate Browne and Peter Twomey from Whitescross, just outside Cork City as they embark on a future together alongside the fun of a competition between two wedding planners, and essentially between two dream weddings.  Our wedding planners are Bruce Russell and Tara Fay. Bruce is the wedding planner of choice in London.  He has planned weddings for the rich and famous, from royalty in Pakistan to mega-rich celebrities.  Tara is Ireland’s most respected wedding planner.  Her weddings have appeared in Hello magazine, and her client list boasts international superstars.  Both are at the top of their game and not afraid to show it.  Pulling out all the stops, and planning the weddings to within an inch of their lives, Bruce and Tara will stop at nothing to win this battle of the wedding planners.  The question remains, will Kate and Peter choose Tara’s home-grown wedding and or Bruce’s sun-kissed nuptials?  Find out now on RTÉ Player!
